Searching for Christmas Beetles
The arrival of the first Christmas Beetle always heralded the arrival of Summer and Christmas. These days even out of the cities Christmas Beetles are getting so much harder to find as there habitat is turned into housing. Until I spot the first one of the Summer I am just going to have to keep painting. Taking this time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and very best wishes for the season wherever you are and however you celebrate. Thank you to those who have visited here in 2017 and I look forward to doing it all again in 2018. Now time for a journey of 4,000 kms and celebrating Christmases in two states in the tall cities of the south before returning on Christmas night to the welcoming lights of our own Christmas tree. I will be back later in December with photos of Christmas in Australia from the cities and from the sub tropics. Merry Christmas xxx
